Lomography has released two new versions of its Lomomatic 110 film camera, the brass-bodied Panthera and the glossy red Ladybug. These refreshed designs cater to enthusiasts seeking a tactile, vintage-inspired analog photography experience with distinct visual styles.

The Lomomatic 110 Panthera features a brass body with a leopard print pattern, joining the earlier Lomomatic 110 Bellagio as Lomography’s second brass-bodied 110 camera. The Lomomatic 110 Ladybug is finished in glossy red with black polka dots. Both models are built on the refreshed Lomomatic 110 platform, which simplifies film handling through its cartridge system.

Technical features and usability

The 110 format uses a plastic cartridge that pops into the back of the camera. This design makes loading simpler than spooling 35mm film. The camera is equipped with a 23mm glass lens, which should provide better sharpness and clarity compared to the plastic lenses found in disposable film cameras.

For creative control, the Lomomatic 110 uses zone focusing and includes ISO control to match the loaded film. It offers auto exposure with manual aperture options. Two buttons on the top of the camera let the user select between f/2.8 or f/5.6 settings. The camera also features a sliding design where the end slides out to open the lens, making it more compact for portability when not in use.

Pricing, availability, and what’s included

Both new color options are available to order directly from Lomography. The Panthera carries a higher price due to its brass construction. Neither camera includes film or the required CR2 battery. The earlier Lomomatic 110 Bellagio model remains on sale.

Context in the current camera market

This release arrives as other brands explore digital cameras inspired by the 110 format's compact, nostalgic appeal. Companies like Camp Snap and Yashica have launched digital cameras designed to resemble the classic 110 film cameras. The Lomomatic 110 line emphasizes the analog experience, with one enthusiast noting, "I shoot with film becuase film is fun, and having a wild, retro design elevates that experience."

The new Panthera and Ladybug color options are available to order from Lomography.
