Sigma Adds 21mm, 100mm, 125mm Cine Lenses
Sigma will release three new Aizu Prime T1.3 cinema lenses in November for $9,799 each, extending the lineup's focal range for more versatility.

Sigma has announced three new Aizu Prime cinema lenses. The 21mm T1.3 LF, 100mm T1.3 LF, and 125mm T1.3 LF will be available in November for $9,799 each.
These new primes join eight existing T1.3 Sigma Aizu lenses, which previously ranged from 25mm to 75mm. The additions promise to significantly expand the lineup's versatility.
Optical Character and Performance
Like the eight Aizu Prime lenses released last year, the new trio promises a completely consistent look. This includes the same color balance, contrast performance, and flare characteristics. They also offer consistent bokeh and falloff.
Sigma states the lenses aim for a specific aesthetic. "While maintaining modern sharpness, they avoid rigid or harsh depictions, delivering a natural, organic look," the company says. They are designed to provide quiet elegance and depth, with minimized distortion and focus breathing for visual consistency in dynamic scenes.
PetaPixel has used Aizu Prime lenses extensively for its videos. Jordan Drake of PetaPixel notes their unique balance. "While they are clean, they also have character," Drake says. "That’s a rare combination, especially at this price."
Technical Specifications and Compatibility
The Aizu Primes have a generous φ46.3mm image circle across the entire lineup. This means they fully cover full-frame image sensors. They are also compatible with some large-format cameras, such as the Arri Alexa LF Open Gate and VistaVision systems. PetaPixel reports using them on the Fujifilm GFX Eterna 55 as well.
The new 21mm, 100mm, and 125mm lenses promise the same professional-grade build quality as the original eight. They are described as relatively compact and lightweight. Features include a wide focus angle and equal-pitch aperture rings. They support Cooke /i + Zeiss eXtended Data for real-time lens metadata transmission.
Pricing and Focal Length Comparison
When Sigma first unveiled the Aizu Prime line in June 2025, it promised that 18mm, 21mm, 100mm, and 125mm lenses were in development. The 18mm T1.3 remains in development, with no announced release date. The expansion brings the promised wider and longer focal lengths to fruition, filling out the cinematic toolkit.
